3D filament co-extrusion line is designed to meet the growing demand for multi-material and high-performance 3D printing filaments. By combining advanced extrusion technology with precise control systems, this production line delivers consistent quality, improved efficiency, and versatile material compatibility.
This 3D filament co-extrusion line integrates dual or multiple extruders to produce composite filaments with different materials or colors.
This 3D filament production line supports a variety of raw materials, including PLA, ABS, PVA, PETG, PEEK, ASA, carbon fiber and glass fiber etc.
Standard single-material filaments often force a compromise between aesthetics and strength. Our new co-extrusion technology eliminates this trade-off by allowing two or more materials to be extruded simultaneously through a single high-precision die.
This process enables the production of:

Hopper Dryer
Most 3D printing polymers are hygroscopic, meaning they absorb moisture. The dryer removes humidity to prevent bubbles and brittleness in the final filament.

2-Color Co-Extrusion
2-color co-extrusion is the industry standard for creating “dual-tone” or “chameleon” filaments. It utilizes two independent extruders that feed into a single combining die.

3-Color Co-Extrusion
3-color co-extrusion is a premium manufacturing process that creates “trichromatic” filaments. It requires three extruders and a highly specialized “feedblock” to manage the melt flow.

Extrusion Die
Determines the initial shape of the filament. It is usually slightly oversized to allow for “draw-down” as the filament is pulled through the line.

Water Tank
In a high-precision 3D filament production line, the water tank is the most critical component for determining the final physical properties and shape of the filament.

Winding Machine
Ensures the filament is laid down in neat, side-by-side rows to prevent tangling during 3D printing.
