Whats is PE HDPE Pipe?
PE HDPE pipe stands for high-density polyethylene pipe, a type of plastic piping widely used in modern infrastructure and industrial applications. Designed to transport fluids like water, gas, chemicals, or even slurry.
PE pipe extrusion production line is an automated production equipment specially used for producing 16-2000mm polyethylene (PE) pipes. Suitable for the production of PE pipes, LDPE pipes, HDPE corrugated pipes, winding pipes, etc.

Production Of Different PE Pipes
PE pipes can be divided into PE pipes, HDPE pipes, and LDPE pipes according to their materials; they can be divided into water supply pipes, drainage pipes, gas pipes, irrigation pipes, etc. according to their uses; and they can be divided into solid wall pipes, corrugated pipes, spiral pipes, etc. according to their structures.
Components of PE Pipe Extrusion Line
Extruder
Through electric heating and shear heat generated by screw rotation, the solid PE particles are melted and plasticized into a uniform viscous fluid, which is continuously extruded by the thrust of the screw.
PLC Control System
Integrated PLC (Programmable Logic Controller) and touch screen human-machine interface for centralized control of all equipment operating parameters.
Extrusion Die Head
The molten material from the extruder is received and formed into a tubular parison with specific inner and outer diameter dimensions.
Vacuum Calibration Tank
Through vacuum adsorption and circulating water cooling, the outer diameter of the high-temperature softened tube just out of the mold is quickly shaped and initially cooled.
Spray Cooling Tank
The shaped pipe is fully and evenly cooled to fully solidify. Evenly spraying water can prevent stress deformation caused by uneven cooling.
Haul-Off
Provides a stable, adjustable pulling force to evenly pull the cooled tube out of the die. The pulling speed must be precisely synchronized with the extrusion speed.
Cutter
The cutting machine automatically cuts the continuously moving pipe to a fixed length according to the set length.
Stacker
Automatically receive and stack cut pipes, reducing manual labor and avoiding scratches on the pipe surface.

HDPE Pipe Extrusion Line FAQ
HDPE pipes feature excellent corrosion and chemical resistance, great flexibility and light weight. With a smooth inner wall for low flow resistance, they can last over 50 years and allow easy connection via hot-melt welding.
HDPE resin pellets (mainly PE80 and PE100 grades) are the primary raw materials. Color masterbatches, antioxidants and UV stabilizers can be added for special usage scenarios.
Wall thickness uniformity is guaranteed by adjusting extrusion speed and haul-off speed, stabilizing vacuum calibration pressure, and adopting online thickness gauges for real-time monitoring.
The recommended L/D ratio ranges from 30:1 to 33:1. A proper higher L/D ratio optimizes material plasticization and mixing, enhancing overall production stability.
The die size is determined by the pipe's outer diameter and wall thickness. Considering HDPE die swell, the die orifice is designed slightly smaller than the finished pipe outer diameter.
